So sneaky we almost missed it, but the mighty Adrenaline Mob will be slipping into Boise for their first ever Treasure Valley show on Thursday June 29 at The Shredder. Joining them will be The Wild! and our own Vault7. Rych Rage from the Rych Rage Radio Show will be broadcasting live throughout the event, as well.
Adrenaline Mob features the talents of vocalist Russell Allen (Symphony X, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Level 10) and guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando, along with the band’s new rhythm section, bassist David Zablidowsky and drummer Jordan Cannata. The band is touring in support of it’s third full length studio album, We the People.
As the title We the People indicates, there’s a political side to Adrenaline Mob. Throughout their years as musicians and songwriters, they hadn’t stayed silent on matters significant. Whether they were masked in metaphor or flatly conspicuous, they’ve always poured their feelings into song. It was, as Orlando puts it, a form of catharsis. So, as they were watching the presidential campaigns, feeling the negativity—the constant bickering and finger pointing—they knew Adrenaline Mob’s next venture would be impacted. In fact, the first song Orlando began writing for We the People was the politically-charged rocker ‘Blind Leading the Blind’:
“The title track is very much inspired by the past election year,” confirms Allen. “It touches on our society, here in America. The album title is a reflection of our times. The songs have certain particular stories that stand on their own. Many of them are also driven by the climate we live in today & some are about having a good time, being free & loving rock n roll. All the tracks have a personality and character to them.”
Meet THE WILD!
On vocals/lead guitar, Dylan Villian embodies all of the reckless abandon and good-natured devilish charm that could only be born in a very small backwoods community. Counterbalancing Villian’s snakebite rasp is bassist/vocalist Boozus. Beer drinkin’, beard havin’, fly-fishin’ are his favorite past times.
Kickin’ ass and keeping time is drummer Reese Lightning. A beast with beats and everyone’s favorite asshole. You’ll love him! Rounding out The Wild!’s lineup is “The Kid” on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. Young blood and zero fucks given. What The Kid lacks in age, he makes up in attitude and swagger.
The Wild! is touring in support of it’s latest disc of raucous mayhem, Wild at Heart.
In 2014, drummer Dennis Goodman formulated the idea for Vault7 and immediately tabbed Brian “Bam Bam” Hoyt to join the ranks. Nathan Polnow joined the ranks in early 2015 as guitarist, but ultimately took over the role of frontman for the band. Vault7 has spent the last two+ years refining its metal-edged, hard rock sound and crafting its debut self-titled album released earlier this year. The recent addition of bassist Paul Blair has added even greater depth to the group’s riff heavy performances, which have allowed them to share the stage with the likes of Anthrax, Death Angel, Like a Storm, and Trapt. Vault7 was also hand-chosen from dozens of band’s last summer to be one of 5 acts to compete in the X Fest Battle of the Bands for a slot on 2016’s X Fest and they closed out the year as part of the Heavy Metal New Years Eve Bash at The Knit. This year they’ve already landed coveted spots opening for Tesla on July 19, and of course, Adrenaline Mob.
