Idaho is en fuego this summer with some of the hottest concert events in recent memory. Among them is the inaugural EdgeFest taking place at the Jerome County Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 21. The Edge 103.1 and Diamondz Event Center have teamed up to bring the Make America Rock Again Tour to Southern, Idaho.
EdgeFest will feature 7 amazing national touring acts all coming to Jerome for the same show this summer including Trapt, Saliva, Saving Abel, Alien Ant Farm, Crazy Town, 12 Stones and Tantric. These artists collectively boast a total of six platinum albums, six gold albums, eight #1 hits, 17 top #10 hits and over 14 million total albums sold! This is the only Idaho stop for the full tour, so you’re not going to want to miss it. The best part is, tickets are only $25 in advance ($35 day of show). Tickets may be purchased from JeromeTickets.com or at Diamondz Event Center in Jerome.
This is going to be a spectacular event, and hopefully the first of many, so it’s important top come out and support EdgeFest 2016.
Trapt is celebrating the start of its third decade, having formed in 1995. The band took flight in 2002 with the release of its iconic hit, “Headstrong” off their self-titled sophomore album. More hits would follow, such as “Stand Up”, “Echo” and “Still Frame”. The band’s newest album, DNA will release just two days prior to EdgeFest, so Idaho gets the first taste new tracks like “It’s Over” and “Human (Like the Rest of Us)”.
Saliva is likewise celebrating its 20th anniversary and the release of its latest album, Love, Lies & Therapy. This is the second album for the band with new vocalist Bobby Amaru. The band exploded at the turn of the century with monsters hits like “Your Disease”, “Click, Click Boom“, and “Rest in Pieces”. The band’s latest single is “Tragic Kind of Love“.
Mississippi-based rockers, Saving Abel broke out in 2008 with their debut hit, “Addicted“. More hits like “The Sex is Good” and “Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood)” would follow on their sophomore record, Miss America. In 2014, the band released its most recent album, Blood Stained Revolution, featuring new vocalist Scotty Austin.
Alien Ant Farm released its fifth studio album, Always and Forever in 2015, but their calling card song is still their addictive #1 cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal“, which is a classic. Crazy Town returned from a long hiatus with last year’s new album, The Brimstone Sluggers. The band made its mark initially on its 1999 debut album The Gift of Game with their #1 hit, “Butterfly“.
If you just can’t wait to get the party started, and who could blame you, there will be a pre-fest event on Saturday August 20 — EdgeFest “Stage D”! Come rock out at Diamondz Event Center with Rain For Dust, Mindspank, Smile of Rictus, and Broken Omen. This is the night before the Main Event, so you just never know what BIG band members might be hanging around the venue. Use your Sunday EdgeFest ticket to get into the party. Doors open at 7pm, admittance is restricted to available venue capacity.
This is an all ages event. Alcohol will be available to those 21 and up with valid identification. There will be food and non-alcoholic beverages available from local area vendors.
General Admission tickets are $25 in advance, or $35 day of show. These tickets allow you into the bleachers (1200 max), or you may stand behind the Pit area. Due to the presence of bleachers and the limited room available, lawn chairs are not permitted at this event. Jerome County Fairgrounds parking is $5. There is also limited parking allowed on the street and surrounding areas.
There are a VERY LIMITED number of VIP M&G BBQ add-on tickets available. These tickets are $50, and get you into an exclusive after-party at Diamondz, where you’ll get to mix and mingle with members of the bands, and eat amazing BBQ prepared by the Diamondz cooking staff. Please note that you must also have a G/A or Pit Pass ticket to attend the VIP M&G BBQ.*
