GRAMMY Award®-nominated, gold-certified Danish hard rock outfit Volbeat unleashed its anxiously awaited sixth full-length album, Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie, this spring and fans and critics have raved about its power and melody. Upon release, the record stormed up the charts hitting #1 in over 15 countries, #1 on the U.S. Rock Albums Chart, and U.S. Metal Albums Chart. It’s available for purchase here.
It seems not long ago, Volbeat came to Idaho opening for the mighty Metallica. These days, the guys are headliners in their own right, and they put on one hell of a show. The band returns to Boise on Wednesday, September 7 at Taco Bell Arena. Tickets are only $44.50 and can be purchased here.
Special guests Killswitch Engage and Black Wizard will be supporting the band. Additionally, the tickets for the Volbeat headline dates will include a copy of Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie in your choice of digital download or CD (plus postage). If you’ve already purchased the album, you’ll also have the option of gifting your free copy.
Produced by longtime collaborator Jacob Hansen and co-produced by frontman Michael Poulsen and lead guitarist Rob Caggiano, Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie includes a total of 13 new tracks, reflecting their signature hybrid of rock prowess, metal power, blues soul, and rockabilly swing.
Volbeat celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, having been founded in 2001 by Poulsen who was quickly joined by drummer Jon Larsen. Since then, they’ve tirelessly clawed their way to hard rock’s upper echelon with endless touring and a string of five beloved full-length albums. Recently, their 2010 album Beyond Hell/Above Heaven received RIAA Gold Certification which features hit single “A Warrior’s Call” and “Heaven Nor Hell.” 2013’s Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies bowed at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 upon release marking the highest U.S. chart entry for a Danish Act since 1997. It also spawned the GRAMMY Award®-nominated “Room 24” [featuring King Diamond] and was certified Gold in Canada. It was the band’s first album to feature new guitarist Rob Caggiano (Anthrax). This tour marks the debut for new bassist, Kaspar Boye Larsen.
Massachusetts metalcore titans, Killswitch Engage are currently touring in support of their latest album, Incarnate. The new album, which came out this spring, debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart upon release, as well as at #3 on the Current Albums Chart and at #1 on both the Rock Chart and the Hard Music Chart.
Canadian riff-wielding heavy metal/stoner rock faction Black Wizard will open the show. The band continues to tour in support of their New Waste full-length, released this past February and currently streaming at THIS LOCATION. Boasting nine tracks of red-eyed, road-raging, retro-riff worship, the record continues to earn approval from media outlets globally.
